LAR Rifle.
The Lancer was created by an Engineer in an old factory on a forgotten world ages ago to assist in the PDF trooper's in fighting off Orks.
They found the standard issue bayonet was pretty much useless against larger ork breeds, who would while the bayonet was embedded within their skin proceed to pick the Guardsman up and smash his skull in.
The Governor was worried how his Regiments were being torn apart and with Imperial aid decades away he ordered his best Engineer to create a new Weapon, this Weapon was the LAR, with a Chainsaw bayonet it proved to beat the Orks much easier in their preferred method of combat.
the entire weapon had to be redesigned to allow the blade to function from the LAR-41.
